Quick Answer
> Quick answer: Five Town Hall 12 war layouts, each with a one tap copy link. All five centralize the Town Hall, split the air defenses, and keep the storages out on the edge as filler. Start with the first one if you just want something that holds tonight. Read the leak notes before you keep any of them for a full war season.
Why TH12 Wars Look the Same Every Weekend
Town Hall 12 is crowded. Loads of accounts park here for months because the climb to TH13 is a grind, so you meet the same town hall level again and again in war.
That crowding is good news for you. Attackers at this level lean on a short list of armies. Electro Dragon spam, Queen Charge Hybrid, and a Yeti or Bowler ground push cover most of what you'll face.
So a TH12 war base does not need to beat everything. It needs to beat those three. Every layout below is picked against that list.
The Giga Tesla changes the maths too. Your Town Hall fights back, and it explodes when it falls. A layout that buries the Town Hall in the middle turns it into a trap rather than a prize. That's the single biggest difference between a base that holds and one that gives up a triple in ninety seconds.
What I Looked For in These Five
I compared these against the layouts we already published, and against the rest of the library, on four things.
First, Town Hall position. Centered, walled, and never sitting on an outer edge where a single Queen walk reaches it.
Second, air defense spread. Four air defenses bunched on one side is how Electro Dragon spam gets a free lane. All five here keep them apart.
Third, compartment size. Small boxes slow ground troops down and waste wall breakers. Big open pockets let Bowlers roll straight through.
Fourth, whether the layout was already on this blog. I checked every copy link against the twenty two we have published before, and none of these five appear anywhere else on the site. That matters. Two posts handing out the same village is the fastest way to look like a link farm.
Layout One: Tight Ring, Centered Town Hall
This is the safest pick of the five and the one I'd start with.
The Town Hall sits in a sealed centre box. Around it runs a ring of small compartments, each holding one or two defenses. Nothing in the middle is reachable without spending wall breakers or a jump spell.
The air defenses form a wide square well inside the walls. An Electro Dragon army coming from any single side meets at least two of them before the chain lightning gets going.
What it punishes: lazy spam. Armies that drop everything on one edge and hope.

One honest note. The outer ring is thin on the back side, so a Queen Charge from that corner opens ground faster than from the front. Watch your first defence replay and swap two point defenses if that keeps happening.
Layout Two: Wide Diamond With Split Cores
This one trades a little Town Hall protection for a much harder ground path.
The base splits into two defended halves with the Town Hall on the seam. Ground armies that commit to one half get stuck there, because the crossing point is walled twice and covered by the Giga Tesla.
It's the best of the five against Yeti and Bowler pushes. Those armies want a straight line through the middle, and this layout doesn't give them one.

Against air it's a step behind layout one. The air defenses sit slightly closer together than I'd like. If your war is full of Electro Dragon attackers, take the first base instead.
Layout Three: Anti Queen Charge Build
A Queen Charge is the opener for most serious TH12 attacks. This layout is built to make that opener expensive.
The outer compartments hold very little of value. A Queen walking in from any side spends a long time on storages and collectors before she touches a defense that matters.
Meanwhile the Eagle Artillery and both Infernos sit deep, so she takes real damage the whole way.

The trade is that it gives up two stars more readily than the others. Outer buildings fall fast here. If your clan scores on stars rather than percentage, that's fine. If you're chasing a low destruction average, layout one is tighter.
Layout Four: Compartment Maze
The busiest layout of the five, and the most annoying to attack on foot.
Every defense sits in its own small box. There are no large open pockets anywhere inside the walls. Wall breakers have to be spent one pair at a time, and a Jump Spell only buys one compartment.
Ground troops end up pathing sideways for most of the attack. That's the whole idea.

The cost is wall count. This build uses every wall you have at TH12, so if your walls are under levelled it loses a lot of its bite. Check that before you keep it.
Layout Five: Spread Build for Percentage Denial
The last one is the odd choice, and it's here on purpose.
Instead of pulling everything tight, this layout spreads buildings wide across the map. A three star needs the attacker to reach every corner, and most armies run out of time before they do.
It gives up the first star more easily than anything else here. It also denies the third star more often than anything else here.

Use it when your clan only needs to deny the triple. Don't use it in a close war where every percent counts.
How to Load a Copy Link Into a War Slot
Tap the link on the device that has Clash of Clans installed. The game opens by itself and shows the layout with a load button.
Pick a war base slot before you confirm, not a home village slot. This trips people up constantly. A war layout loaded into your home village does nothing for your war defence and wrecks your farming setup.
If the link opens a browser page instead of the game, the game isn't installed on that device or the layout is for a different town hall level. Nothing is broken, just open it on your phone.
After it loads, walk the edges yourself. Copy links move buildings, they do not move traps you've already set, and they never move your walls to a level you haven't unlocked.
Where Every TH12 Base Leaks
No layout at this town hall level is airtight, and anybody selling you one is guessing.
The common leak is the second Inferno. At TH12 you have two, and if both cover the same side of the core, one half of the base defends itself and the other half folds.
The second leak is trap placement. A copied layout gives you positions, not traps. Fresh Giant Bombs on the obvious Hog path are worth more than any rearrangement of the walls.
The third is the Scattershot. You don't have one yet at TH12, which is why ground armies feel stronger here than at TH13. Plan for that instead of wishing it away.
Patching a Layout After Your First War
Watch the replay before you change anything. That sounds obvious and almost nobody does it.
You're looking for one thing: where the attacker's funnel formed. If two attackers in a row built their funnel on the same corner, that corner is too soft. Move a Wizard Tower and an Air Defense towards it and leave everything else alone.
Change one thing per war. Change five and you'll never know which one helped.
If you're also deciding what to upgrade next, the TH13 upgrade order guide covers the defenses that carry over, and our older single TH12 war base breakdown goes deeper on one layout than this roundup does on five.
Which of the Five to Run Tonight
If you want one answer: layout one. It's the most balanced and the least likely to embarrass you.
If your war is full of Electro Dragon attackers, still layout one. Its air defense spread is the widest here.
If you keep losing to ground pushes, take layout two or four.
If your clan only needs to stop the third star, take layout five and accept the two.
All five are in our base library alongside a few thousand others, filterable by town hall level and base type. Supercell's own September update notes are worth a read too, since the hero equipment changes shift which attacks you'll actually face this season.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do these TH12 war base links still work in 2026?
Yes. Every one of the five was pulled from our live base library and checked before this went up. Copy links don't expire on their own. They stop working only if the layout was built for a different town hall level than the slot you load it into, so make sure you're loading a TH12 layout into a TH12 war slot.
Can I use a war base layout for my home village?
You can load it, but you shouldn't. War layouts ignore resource protection completely and park storages on the outside as filler. Your loot would be gone in a day. Use a farming layout for your home village and keep these for the war slot. Our base library lets you filter by base type so you don't mix them up.
Why do all five have the Town Hall in the middle?
Because of the Giga Tesla. At TH12 your Town Hall shoots back and detonates when it falls, which makes it a trap rather than a prize. A centered Town Hall also forces attackers to spend their Jump Spells and wall breakers getting to it. An edge Town Hall hands over a star to a single Queen walk.
How often should I change my war base?
Every few wars, not every war. You need two or three defence replays against the same layout before you know where it actually leaks. Changing it every single war means you're reacting to one attacker's luck rather than a real weakness.
Are these bases safe from the September 2026 balance changes?
Mostly. The September changes hit hero equipment rather than defenses, so layouts didn't shift much. The Earthquake Boots radius increase matters for wall design, which is one reason the tighter compartment layouts here still hold up. Nothing in this batch depends on a stat that changed.
