P.E.K.K.A Buff October 2026: Is She Worth Using at TH18?
P.E.K.K.A gets about 8% more damage at levels 8 to 13 in the October 2026 update. Here are the new numbers, the hits she saves and when to use her.

The Short Answer
Quick answer: She's stronger, but she starts from under 3% of TH18 war attacks. Supercell's October 2026 changes give the P.E.K.K.A more damage. The fan wiki lists about 8% more damage per second at levels 8 to 13, so a max level one goes from 940 to 1,015. Supercell lists no other change for her.
The buff is part of the October 2026 balance changes, posted on 17 October.
I pulled her full level table from the fan wiki and checked it against Supercell's post.
All numbers here are as of October 2026.
What Supercell Said About P.E.K.K.A
Supercell's balance post groups the P.E.K.K.A with the Hog Rider and the Miner. Each one shows up in fewer than 3% of attacks.
Their three star rates sit between 20% and 35%. For comparison, the average for every attack in the same data is 53%.
Her fix is one line: increased damage. The post doesn't give new numbers, and it doesn't mention her HP, speed or housing space.
Those rates come from one slice of the game. Supercell used TH18 attacks on TH18 bases in Clan Wars and CWL, over the four weeks before the post.
So the low numbers describe top level war. They don't describe lower Town Halls.
Damage Before and After
The fan wiki already lists the new values for levels 8 to 13.
| Level | Damage per second before | Damage per second after | Lab level |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 610 | 660 | 10 |
| 9 | 680 | 735 | 11 |
| 10 | 750 | 810 | 13 |
| 11 | 810 | 875 | 14 |
| 12 | 870 | 940 | 15 |
| 13 | 940 | 1,015 | 16 |
I compared the two columns. Every level gains about 8%, from 50 more at level 8 to 75 more at level 13.
One detail can confuse you if you check the wiki yourself. Its change log calls these numbers hitpoints. They match her damage per second column, though, and Supercell's post says damage.
Levels 1 to 7 get no change in the wiki's list.
What That Means Per Hit
The P.E.K.K.A swings slowly. Her attack speed is one swing every 1.8 seconds, according to the wiki.
So damage per hit matters more than damage per second. At level 13, one swing does 1,692 damage today.
With the same attack speed, the new damage works out to about 1,827 per swing. That's 135 more damage on every hit.
Here's another way to see it. After the buff, a level 12 P.E.K.K.A does 940 damage per second. That's exactly what a level 13 did before.
So the buff is worth about one full level of damage, without any lab time.
Hits to Destroy Top Defenses
Because she swings so slowly, one fewer hit saves real time. Each hit she skips gives you 1.8 seconds back.
I counted the hits a level 13 P.E.K.K.A needs for max level buildings at TH18, using the wiki's HP values. This assumes no Rage Spell and no help from other troops.
| Building | HP | Hits before | Hits after |
|---|---|---|---|
| Air Defense, level 16 | 2,000 | 2 | 2 |
| X-Bow, level 13 | 5,000 | 3 | 3 |
| Inferno Tower, level 12 | 5,100 | 4 | 3 |
| Firespitter, level 3 | 5,300 | 4 | 3 |
| Scattershot, level 7 | 5,800 | 4 | 4 |
| Monolith, level 5 | 5,959 | 4 | 4 |
| Eagle Artillery, level 7 | 6,200 | 4 | 4 |
| Town Hall 18 | 10,800 | 7 | 6 |
The Inferno Tower is the big one. Today a max Inferno survives three swings by just 24 HP. After the buff, three swings finish it.
The Firespitter and the Town Hall also lose a hit each. The rest don't change.
Her Stats Today
Here's the rest of her stat sheet from the fan wiki. Supercell's post doesn't change any of it.
- 1Housing space: 25.
- 2Movement speed: 16.
- 3Attack speed: one swing every 1.8 seconds.
- 4Range: 0.8 tiles, melee, ground targets only.
- 5HP at level 13: 8,800.
She has no preferred target, so she swings at the nearest ground building or unit.
You unlock her at Barracks level 10, which needs Town Hall 8. Level 13 arrived on 17 November 2025.
That high HP is part of why she's slow to kill. It's also why some defenses love her, as the next section shows.
What Still Counters Her
The buff adds damage. It doesn't fix the counters the wiki lists for her.
- 1Single target Inferno Towers can defeat her quickly.
- 2The Monolith deals damage that scales with its target's max HP. Her high HP makes her an easy target for it.
- 3Skeleton Traps set to ground can distract her for several seconds.
- 4She can't hit air units, so a defending Minion Prince is safe from her.
- 5Poison Spell Towers and Headhunters slow her down a lot.
None of these get weaker in October. The Monolith counter stays exactly the same, since her HP doesn't change.
So the buff helps her once she reaches a building. Getting her there is still the hard part for you.
Spring Traps Still Can't Launch Her
This update's Ruin Knight change made Spring Traps matter again. It doesn't change much for the P.E.K.K.A.
She takes 25 housing space. A Spring Trap launches troops of up to 18 at most.
So a trap won't throw her out at full health. It still damages her, and the wiki says it ejects her only if her HP is already low enough.
Our Ruin Knights Spring Trap guide explains why 18 is the line that matters.
That makes her a decent trap clearer. The wiki notes she can set off traps and take most of their damage.
How to Use Her in an Attack
A few rules from the fan wiki's strategy notes still apply to your attacks.
- 1Deploy them in pairs, so a Mortar can only hit one pair at a time.
- 2Add a Rage Spell when they reach a cluster. Raged, she can destroy almost any building in one hit.
- 3Clear outside buildings first, or she'll waste swings on them.
- 4Open walls with Wall Breakers, a Wall Wrecker or a Log Launcher.
- 5Back her with splash damage, like Wizards or a Poison Spell, against swarms.
Don't build a full P.E.K.K.A army. She can't hit air, so a flying Clan Castle troop can pick her apart.
A tank like the Golem also pairs well with her, since it soaks damage while she swings.
She Hits Heroes Hard
Defending heroes are where her damage shows most. The wiki's notes say she can knock out defending heroes quickly, especially under a Rage Spell.
Your P.E.K.K.A gets about 8% more out of each of those swings after the buff.
There's a catch. A defending Archer Queen or Royal Champion behind a wall can hurt her badly while she's stuck at that wall.
So open the wall first, then let her reach the hero. A P.E.K.K.A that walks straight into a hero does a lot more than one that stands at a wall.
Should You Research Level 13?
Her top levels cost a lot of Elixir and lab time.
| Upgrade | Elixir | Time | Lab level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 12 | 16,000,000 | 10 days | 15 |
| Level 13 | 28,000,000 | 14 days 12 hours | 16 |
Here's a simple rule.
- 1If you already use her, push to level 13. That level gets the biggest boost, 75 damage per second.
- 2If you don't, test her at your current level first.
- 3If a war troop you use every attack is waiting, research that first.
The buff itself costs you nothing. Every P.E.K.K.A from level 8 up gets it when the update goes live.
Will the Buff Be Enough?
Nobody knows yet. An 8% damage boost may be small next to the gap Supercell describes.
Her three star rate sits somewhere between 20% and 35% in TH18 war. The average attack lands 53%.
Nobody has war results with the new numbers yet either. Supercell's rates come from the four weeks before the change.
Supercell says it'll keep watching attacks and adjust again if needed. So treat this as a reason to test her, not a reason to rebuild your war army this week.
Test Her in a Friendly Challenge
A friendly challenge costs nothing, so start there.
Pick a TH18 base with a single target Inferno near the edge. Send a pair of P.E.K.K.As at it with a Rage Spell. Count her swings on the Inferno in the replay.
Then run the army you already use on the same base and compare the stars.
If you need layouts to test on, browse TH18 war bases and save a few with different Inferno setups. A base that kills her before she reaches the core tells you more than one that doesn't.
Frequently Asked Questions
Did the P.E.K.K.A get buffed in October 2026?
Yes. Supercell's 17 October 2026 post gives her more damage. The fan wiki lists about 8% more damage per second at levels 8 to 13, so level 13 goes from 940 to 1,015. Supercell lists no HP change.
Does the P.E.K.K.A get more HP in the October 2026 update?
No. Supercell's post lists more damage only. The wiki's change log labels the new numbers as hitpoints, but they match her damage per second, not her HP. A level 13 P.E.K.K.A keeps 8,800 HP.
Can a Spring Trap launch a P.E.K.K.A?
Not at full health. She takes 25 housing space, and Spring Traps launch troops of up to 18. A trap still damages her, and it ejects her only when her HP is already low.
How many hits does a P.E.K.K.A need for a max Inferno Tower?
A level 13 P.E.K.K.A needs 4 hits today and 3 after the buff, without a Rage Spell. A max Inferno Tower has 5,100 HP, and her new swing does about 1,827 damage.
What do most players attack with at TH18 right now?
Dragon Duke shows up in a large share of TH18 war attacks. Fire Heart alone is in almost 40% of them. Our TH18 attack strategy guide covers the armies that three star most often.
