COC October 2026 Hero Skins: Every Skin and Its Date
Shroud Queen tops the Gold Pass, and five lava themed skins drop from October 5 to 13. Every hero skin, its date, the scenery, and two that can cost a spell.

The Short Version
Quick answer: October 2026's Gold Pass skin is the Shroud Queen. Five more skins drop through the month: Savage King on October 5, Nasty Prince on the 7th, Terror Champion on the 9th, Behemoth Duke on the 11th and Spider Warden on the 13th. All stay on sale until October 31, alongside the Cosmic Portals XL scenery.
The theme is lava and portals, to match the Cosmic Curse season.
All dates here are as of October 2026.
Every Skin and Its Date
I read Supercell's season post, Cosmic Curse: Portal Panic Teleports In, for the dates.
| Skin | Hero | On sale |
|---|---|---|
| Shroud Queen | Archer Queen | Gold Pass, all season |
| Savage King | Barbarian King | October 5 to 31 |
| Nasty Prince | Minion Prince | October 7 to 31 |
| Terror Champion | Royal Champion | October 9 to 31 |
| Behemoth Duke | Dragon Duke | October 11 to 31 |
| Spider Warden | Grand Warden | October 13 to 31 |
The calendar also lists a Ghost Champion as an alternate skin.
The Cosmic Portals XL scenery runs from October 3 to 31.
Shroud Queen, the Gold Pass Skin
The Shroud Queen comes with the Gold Pass, so it's the cheapest skin of the month if you buy the pass anyway.
She has a flame and lava look. In the Hero Hall she jumps toward the screen, which catches people off guard the first time.
In an attack, she lands with an impact animation and a laugh. Her arrows burn as they fly.
When she's knocked out, she drops to the ground clutching her head.
She's a clean skin to play with. Nothing about her makes her harder to read in a fight.
Savage King, October 5
The Savage King is the first legendary skin of the month.
He bursts out of the ground and pulls a blade from his chest. A ring of flames spawns around him in the home village.
In an attack, his footsteps leave flames as he walks, and he has a couple of different swing animations.
When he falls, the blade ends up through his back.
If you liked the lava look of the Shroud Queen, he matches her. The two were clearly designed as a pair.
Nasty Prince, October 7
The Nasty Prince is the Minion Prince's skin this month.
He looks possessed, chewing on a ball of lava, and he plays with it when you tap him in the village.
In an attack, he flies and strikes like the normal Minion Prince, throwing lava instead of his usual shot.
When he's knocked out, the lava tries to reconnect with the torch he holds.
It's one of the plainer skins of the month. The same month also brings the Minion Prince's Clan War League skin, a long awaited one, so prince fans have two options.
Terror Champion, October 9
The Terror Champion is the Royal Champion's skin.
She jumps in and out of a portal formed from her Seeking Shield. That's the most creative idea in this set.
In an attack, she closes a skeleton portal and throws it as her shield, so the shield bounces through defenses as a portal. Her spear floats as she fights.
When she's taken down, the portal turns on her.
If you play a lot of Royal Champion attacks, this is the skin with the best match between theme and ability.
Behemoth Duke, October 11
The Behemoth Duke is the Dragon Duke's skin, and it's huge.
He bursts out of the ground like the Savage King. He carries more detail than most skins this month.
That size is also his problem. In an attack, the Duke can look like he's sitting right on top of the buildings.
If you run a Duke charge with an Invisibility Spell, that makes the spell harder to place.
On attack you can simply switch the skin off for war. On defense, though, you'll face it on other players' Dukes whether you like it or not.
Spider Warden, October 13
The Spider Warden closes out the month.
He sneaks around the Hero Hall on spider legs and makes a ball of fire when you tap him.
In an attack, a ground Warden crawls toward buildings. An air Warden floats and kicks his legs.
There's one catch. On the ground, he moves around a lot while he attacks.
If you use an Invisibility Spell on your Warden, place it with care. A spell that misses by a tile can lose you the Warden. In air mode he moves much less, so it's less of an issue.
Two Skins That Can Cost You a Spell
Skins are cosmetic. They don't change stats. But two of this month's skins change how easy a hero is to read.
| Skin | The issue | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Behemoth Duke | Looks like he's on top of buildings | Use the default skin for war if your spells miss |
| Spider Warden | Moves a lot on the ground | Run him in air mode, or use the default skin |
In war, the skin is your choice. If either one throws off your spell timing, switch back to the default for war attacks.
The hero's strength stays exactly the same. Only how it looks changes, and in a timed spell that look is what you aim at.
How the Skins Compare at a Glance
Here's the set side by side, so you can pick fast.
| Skin | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Shroud Queen | Gold Pass buyers | Nothing |
| Savage King | War players | Nothing |
| Nasty Prince | Prince fans | A plain design |
| Terror Champion | Royal Champion mains | Nothing |
| Behemoth Duke | Show offs | Invisibility placement |
| Spider Warden | Air Warden players | Ground movement |
Four of the six are safe for war. Two need a little care.
None of them is a power boost. Pick the one you'll enjoy seeing most often.
Cosmic Portals XL Scenery
The Cosmic Portals scenery runs from October 3 to 31. It's an XL scenery.
The village is falling apart, pulled toward a red portal at the top left. Little builders chip at the rock, and the pieces fly toward the portal.
It has the usual custom spots for the Builder board, Clan Capital, Forge, Trader tent and sauna.
One caution. I read a creator's early look, and it found you can't zoom out as far as on some other XL sceneries.
If you buy XL sceneries for the view, check it in the shop preview before you pay.
Which Skins Are Worth Buying
That depends on which heroes you actually use.
Buy the skin for the hero you attack with most. You'll see it every battle.
For war players, the Terror Champion and the Savage King are the safest picks. Neither changes how the hero reads in a fight.
Think twice about the Behemoth Duke and the Spider Warden if you rely on precise Invisibility Spells.
And if you already buy the Gold Pass, the Shroud Queen comes free with it.
Our Dragon Duke equipment guide covers the Duke's best setup, skin or not.
What Else Is in the Season
The skins are only part of Cosmic Curse.
The Portal Panic medal event runs until October 25 and brings the Portal Pendant for the Minion Prince. Our Portal Pendant guide covers what it does.
Cosmic Streak runs October 16 to 31. Attack daily for seven days and you earn a decoration.
Clan Games run October 22 to 28.
